Ballantines Scotch zeichnet sich durch einen angenehmen Geschmack aus, der auf die hohen Qualitäts-Standards im Hause Ballantines zurückzuführen sind.

Ballantines Whisky wird seit 1827 in Edinburgh hergestellt. George Ballantine experimentierte mit verschiedenen Blends, Mischungen aus Malz und Getreide, aus unterschiedlichen Destillerien und verschiedenen Altersgruppen. Das Ergebnis war ein leichter, sehr feiner Scotch Whisky. Entscheidend bei dem Reife- und Mischprozess sind nach wie vor die Qualität der Gerste, die Reinheit des Wassers und die Fässer, in denen der Whisky mehrere Jahre reifen muss, um seinen typischen Geschmack zu erhalten. Die drei wichtigen Zusätze und auch die speziellen Brennblasen, die Kupferkessel, sind Bestandteil des Ballantines Wappen, welches auf jeder Flasche zu finden ist.

Pernod-Ricard importiert nach Deutschland offiziell drei verschiedene Sorten: Ballantines Finest, Ballantine's 12 Years, und Ballantines Pure Malt, wobei der Finest sicherlich der bekannteste ist.
